Biography and CV

Wanyu Lin received her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. It was a great pleasure for her to be involved in the fantastic team iQua, working with Professor Baochun Li. Wanyu’s research interests include explaining graph neural networks for graph-structured data, applying graph representation learning to computer vision and social media analytics, and graph machine learning in adversarial settings.

Wanyu completed her M. Phil degree from the Department of Computing in Hong Kong Polytechnic University, under the supervision of Professor Jiannong Cao. In particular, she got involved in the research projects related to structural health monitoring with wireless sensor networks, focusing on developing fast and energy-efficient computation algorithms in wireless sensor networks. Before that, Wanyu obtained her B.Engr. degree from the school of Electronic Information and Communications, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China.

Wanyu loves reading and thinking. And she tries to keep diary regularity.

Wanyu has been a runner since 2013. She has completed her first half-marathon in Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon, 2014, and her first full marathon in Toronto ScotialBank Marathon, 2017.
